  • current best air coolers - [H]ard|Forum
Youtube channel Machines and More, which typically focuses on ITX, posted a video showing that the Thermalright Silver Soul 135, is slightly better than the Noctua NH-D12L (Noctua's low profile and "slim" 120mm dual tower) And the Silver Soul does it at 10mm less in height Which is a lot! *The same video also tests the ID-COOLING SE-207-XT
  • Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Mini - [H]ard|Forum
Same height, same basic design as the noctua nh-d12l May be a good option if you can't afford the noctua
  • PRIME TX-1600 Noctua Edition - questions - [H]ard|Forum
I'm sure it's a good PSU, but it's way too expensive Also if all you care about is silence, the Coolermaster X Silent Max Platinum 1300 is even quieter If you look at HW Busters reviews, the Coolermaster is fanless up to 1000W The TX-1600 Noctua Edition's fan is pretty much always on above 60W load, running between 400-800rpm below 1000W load
  • 9800X3D thermal paste application? - [H]ard|Forum
I decided to try the Noctua 5 dot method conservatively (just barely a 3mm dot x 1, and a 1 5-2mm dot x4) using MX-6 I also put a tiny dab on each cutout CPU block is a Heatkiller IV Pro Nickel Copper, EVGA 3090 under an Optimus block, and 2 420mm rads with NFA-14 IPPCs
  • Do I need to buy that Noctua AM5 bracket with the parts I have?
I currently have a Noctua NH-D15 cooling my oc 6700k I have had several noctua fans parts over the years, and I have built up quite a collection The problem is that it's all hodge podge Using only the parts in the picture (and whatever is currently being used by my d15), can I mount this to an AM5 board or do I need to go get that am5
  • New Arctic P12 Max fan. 3 for price of 1 Noctua. No downsides?
Noctua's Redux fans are older designs which are strictly worse And they also usually limit their RPM These Arctics are not strictly worse Also, I'm no Noctua super supporter, as I don't think their bearing quality is very good Except possibly in their top 120mm fan tested in the video above But I have never owned one
  • Noctua entering the AIO business - [H]ard|Forum
You're conflating the IceGiant product and Noctua Noctua hasn't announced pricing or a firm release date
  • AIO vs NH-U12A on 5800x - [H]ard|Forum
The larger Noctua NH-D15 should be somewhere between 1-3 degrees better than the NH-U12A, and would beat the Pro XT on extreme profiles, but I haven't owned one or noise normalized it so it is guesswork from my side The Corsair h150i PRO XT manages fan speed based on water temp and it lets water temp rise
  • Air Cooling a 14900K - [H]ard|Forum
Noctua NH-U12A Right now that is the cooler I have now always have to look it up because I forget the number I paid like 120 00 for it but if the 14900K is better silcone "Runs Cooler" than the 14700K I would take a chance on the 14900K
  • Battle of the air thermal siphon coolers ( Noctua NH-D15 vs. IceGiant . . .
Let me know the pros and cons on both parts please I am leaning towards the Noctua for clearance DB noise compared to the IceGiant Where a few reviews stated it had to be set on a higher fan curve compared to the NH-D15 But I do like IceGiants Thermal tech just the cooler is huge and will cover up a lot of the MOBO and RAM Thanks,
