    Page 1 of 2 - downloading ROMS from stern - posted in Pinball Discussion Forum: hello Ive been trying to get some stern tables working where i cant find the ROMs here or at the other site I downloaded the ROM file for Metallica premium monsters table from stern directly When i download it I get a BIN file how do i convert that and rename it to something that VPX can find and use? thanks

    the rom itself should be named MTL180 BIN which might not be the name it downloads from stern with If you want to use a color patched ROM, you will have to use carne priests sambuild of vpinmame (A stern ROM that ends with H is a color patched ROM) Also, if that is a validly patched ROM, should it not the name be MTL_170h not MTL17h

    Let me state again I'm using the proper ROM I also tested it with mtl_180h, and yes, with that one NONE of the shot inserts work The pick target inserts don't light either That's why I specifically said the electric chair inserts aren't working All the other lights are working just fine Because I'm using the proper ROM

    In the color rom patch there were two files A pin 2 dmd pal file which i placed in the altcolor folder in vpm and the patch file diff for the rom With the patcher i used the mtl180le bin + the diff to create mtl180c bin I zipped the bin to "mtl_180c zip" I used this name because in vpinmame mtl180c is the name for the colored rom
